Card Challenges

A moment for a challenge. This card was so much fun, that I created a second one. For the second card I used the other side of the designer paper. The designer paper is 12x12" double sided and from the Mix & Match "Victorian roses" design pad. It is so nice that I could use both sides of the paper, because of the coordinating colours. I didn't have to look and search (pffff...) for coordinating card stock and that saved  me a lot of time;)

I was to quick to make pictures, since I still had to add paper flowers to the cards:))

These are the finished cards with the paper flowers. In the middle of the paper flowers you can see a brad holding the flowers together. The flowers are cut using my cricut expression using the George basic shapes cartridge.

Measurements of the flowers: 3/4, 1 and 1 1/4". I cut three straight from the machine and for the rest I've used CCR, because I wanted to use all scrap paper from the sheet. But then I didn't have any more scrap paper from the designer card stock left and I didn't want to cut another sheet. What I did was using white card stock, also scrap paper, for the rest of the flowers. No small pieces of card stock left. The card still is cute! Smart, eh;-)

The greeting is a rubber stamp from Rubbernecker and the greeting on the inside of the card is a rubber stamp from Whiff of joy.

Greeting: rubber stamp from Whiff of joy.

The same goes for the second card. Both greetings are from Whiff of joy. Love these cards; they are so cute. And I didn't need a lot of material to make them.

Summer with lady bugs or mouse?

Making a card adding a lady bug, bee, mouse, dog or any animal to the card. I choose for a rubber stamp of Whiff of joy ~ henry the mouse and coloured it with copic markers and twin marker. The greeting is also a rubber stamp from Whiff of joy. Some embellishment, ribbon and brads, are added to the card for a nice finish. All this mounted on baby blue card stock, craft card stock and designer paper.

We have a lot of rain here, so I went for designer paper with flowers. Because of so much rain and often grey days I choose for designer paper accordingly. You'll will not see bright yellow, green or red on this card;))

Doll dreams round robin

This painting is for Bianca. Her theme is marie antoinette or victorian. I choose to do a marie antoinette painting. I concentrated more on the hairstyle.

For Eliana

Life took over and I was too busy to make cute cards for my young relatives. Here a card for sweet Eliana. All images (rabbit, carrot and flower) and greeting are from the Create a critter cartridge. Unfortunately, I don't have measurements, because I cut them in the Cricut craft room and I did not wrote the sizes. The grass is from Brother scan n cut canvas. The polka dot designer paper is from the Papermania 6x6 capsule collection ~ spots & stripes > brights. I have this paperpad for years.

I also used some gold glitter on the rabbit and the carrot. For the rabbit I used a Peachy keen stamp. I also added some gold pearl gel (Colours unlimited) on the leaf of the carrot. At one point I thought it was a pineapple and I added the glitter as if it is a pineapple. But I guess you had not noticed that...lol;)
