Draw it

I love this art journal page too much, so despite of me not keeping I will keep this one for myself. So yes, this one is a keeper😊 I will start another postcard for my partner, which I have to send even though I will like it:))

This postcard is in progress, so I will do a future blog post on the finished project.

Mail art challenge postcard

For this swap I will create one postcard for one swap partner using at least 7 of the 15 items/ideas listed below. I choose to work with 7 items on the list. The words in read are the items that I choose to use and I will combine these. The list of items/ideas:
yellow
orange
book page
comic book word/s (Zap! Bzerk! Yowch!)
foot print or shoe print
insect
flower
washi tape

coffee or tea

I combined the items as follows:
orange ~ greeting cut at 2,25"

The red dots are scraps form the ladybugs. There are more dots on the flower.

Door postcard

The background is made of photo card stock or paper and I guess alcohol inks. It is one of these diy backgrounds that I received from a swapper. I decided to use this background for this postcard. I wanted to cut an ATC card out of it, but I got the measurements for the ATC card wrong. So I decided to use it in some way for this postcard.

I want to be able to open the door on the postcard, so I used double sided foam tape on the door and hopefully it will work.

Add a die cut to your ATC

A nice bird nest from the Zooballoo cartridge for this ATC. I wondered if it would cut out nicely, because of the small size. All went well and it is so cute on the ATC. The bird nest is cut at 2,25".

I used a handmade postcard that I received and recycled it to the base and background of this ATC. You can see some of this postcard at the borders. I have also used a background created with photo card stock/paper and alcohol inks; I've received this from a swapper. I used small pieces of a magazine for the eyes of the birds.

Handmade art journal go round R42

The prompt for this round is "ribbon". I did both half of the spread different. Somehow I associate ribbon with card making and scrap booking. And that is what I did on both pages; also using mixed media and added acrylic paints on the base to create a background. You can't see it probably, but I did did quite some journaling on the pages before I added gesso and acrylic paints to the pages.

I searched for scraps and embellishments (left). I found an old handmade note card had I once received and kept, because of the stamped image. I decided to recycle the stamped image. And of course I added ribbon to both art journal pages. So there you have it:))

This is my take on the prompt:

used:
patterned paper (scraps)
