I forgot to post about these art journal pages I did for the monthly swap @
milliande.ning.com and the November pages I did for the swaps I host @
swap-bot.com. How could I forgot? I did had some busy days: homework, exams, preparing for my journey to Suriname and helping my daughter to prepare for her internship and journey in and to Suriname. A lot to think about and a lot to prepare for. And that's the moment when I forget the things I do in between☺
Once I went with my daughters to an Halloween activity. It was really good, scary and it was very funny. We enjoyed it a lot and we still refer to our Halloween experience. I like Halloween and I love the Halloween colours and I am so proud of these pages, the background colours. These are my first Halloween pages EVER!! Yayyy, so satisfied with them and the receiver is so happy with these pages .... blush .... :-))
Acrylic paints is used the most on these two pages. With rubber stamps I created the footsteps of an animal and the dancing ant. With my Cricut expression I cut out the spider, the pumpkin, the bats, the witch on the broom and the spider web. The spider is hanging down on a piece of ribbon. With my white Signo gelpen I created the face of the tree and the eye of the witch.
Prompt: Hallowe'en Creatures - Create a journal page incorporating a traditional or invented spooky character. Old Hollywood horror may be a starting place.
Prompt: Create a page that incorporates an element that is interactive and moves. Consider flaps, doors, inserts or wheels. Utilize two or more of the following colours in your design: bat wing black, jack-o-lantern orange, witch's purse purple, harvest moon yellow, zombie green.
Here under: my attempt to let you see the movable spider. Scary??
On thse pages I used paintdabbers. Then I added a layer of different colours of pastels to create a white kind of background. I also used a stencil and modelling paste to create the rose (or is it a tulip?). This gives the rose a 3D effect. A rose since the poem is the famous poem of Robert Burns: A Red, Red Rose.
A long time ago I selected this poem for my English literature school subject. I had to know all about the poems I selected and I also had to unravel the poem.I loved this poem and still do!
Pleawe enjoy with me☺
A Red, Red Rose - Robert Burns
1794
O my Luve's like a red, red rose, That's newly sprung in June: O my Luve's like the melodie, That's sweetly play'd in tune. As fair art thou, my bonie lass, So deep in luve am I; And I will luve thee still, my dear, Till a' the seas gang dry. Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear, And the rocks melt wi' the sun; And I will luve thee still, my dear, While the sands o' life shall run. And fare-thee-weel, my only Luve! And fare-thee-weel, a while! And I will come again, my Luve, Tho' 'twere ten thousand mile!
